Justin Bieber has had a good year, enjoying a serious comeback from his days of legal run-ins and bad press. On Sunday at the MTV European Music Awards in Milan, Italy, the “What Do You Mean?” singer kept the ball rolling by winning Best Male Artist for the sixth year in a row.
Decked out in several shades of red, the 21-year-old megastar took the stage for a wild, raunchy, show-stopping performance of “What Do You Mean?”, which brought the audience to their feet.
Bieber ended up taking home four additional awards for Best Look, Biggest Fans, Best Worldwide Act for North America and Best Collaboration for “Where Are U Now” with Skrillex and Diplo. This gives the musician 18 EMAs, and breaks Eminem’s record of 15 EMAs.
Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift also had stellar nights. Sheeran picked up two awards, for Best World Stage and Best Live Act, while Swift took home two the awards, Best U.S. Act and Best Song for “Bad Blood&” featuring Kendrick Lamar.
